Roots and Froots

Sarn Helen Community Garden’s Local Food Fair
Selling plants, locally grown fresh vegetables, Welsh meats and eggs, preserves, chutneys etc. Craft Stalls and BBQ!
The day will also include a guided Heritage Tour of the valley, picking up at 12 noon in Banwen RFC car park, 12:15 in Seven Sisters Community Hall car park, and 12:25 in Crynant RFC car park. The tour will then begin at Cefn Coed Museum and travel through the valley, ending at the Roots and Froots Food Fair. There will then be an opportunity to peruse the stalls before the bus makes the return journey to get everyone home.

A Decade of Change Exhibition
Friday 29th July, 12pm - 7pm @ Dove Workshop
Taking place at Dove Workshop, a photographic exhibition will chronicle the changes and events that have happened in our valley during the first decade of the 21st Century. From carnivals and craft fairs, to refurbishments and rugby games, come along and see if you can spot yourself or a member of your family making history as it happens!

A Vintage Experience
Saturday 30th July 10.30am - 5pm @ Cefn Coed
Come and experience life in and around a working mine at the turn of the Century. Let Victorian workmen and their wives tell their story and guide you through a host of Victorian pursuits, including Crafts, Vintage Fair Rides and a Railway Model Display. Refreshments available.
